Last Pic before we move in

Well here the last pic's of the house, As you can see the stove is in, All the touch up's have been done. I took a pic of the back door,and the laundry room. We went Fridge shopping Friday. We will not be able to go back in the house till the day we close for the final walk through on closing date. I will have a walk through tomorrow with the builder. Underwriter already said yes, USDA Automatic said yes, Now just waiting for USDA to say yes. Free to close. Next pics will be of day of closing.

Moving Along

Appraisal Came in today.

Mail Box

My mail box is up, The lady who cleans, has cleaned the house. There are a few things that need to taken care of, But I will have the list for the builder. Talked to my agent today, She says mostly there will be inspections this week, Today the Fire inspector was there.

Walk through

Builder just called, they want us to do our walk through next week......

We are already doing one with our agent Sunday, Two will not hurt!

Well they put the number on the house, I went inside, It is pretty much done just needs some serious cleaning up. I am not sure if it was done before but the front door is painted.

Well Today

Today I was suppose to close. But delays has prevented that from happening. We do have a new date, And my lender assures me it should go off without a hitch.

I will go and see if the house is done this morning. Pretty sure it is.

Electricity is on

Wen to the house, the light are on, the meter is up on the side of the house. They were doing some touch up, paint, nicks and scuffs on the wall. OH! the blinds are up also.

Some thoughts

I have decided NOT to buy stools. Trying to keep this house with less clutter. Got so much on my mind, I need and want this house to be right. Sticking to a budget is going to hard, But to keep our heads above water it will b needed. We have all of our credit cards paid off ( I just paid off the last one). No more HBO, CEM and SHO.

Well I went to the house today,, The builder was there, real nice guy. He told the house will be ready way before we close. They are putting in some final touches, As you can see in the pic's.

So I went to the house today, Drive up to see shutters, Walked in to see toilets, sinks, dishwasher, Fixtures,Microwave. I also took a shot of the light fixture above the steps. The water is on also. There are also pic's of the powder room downstairs. Pestle sink, mirrors. My house is really coming along. Waiting for underwriting to pass, then closing.

countertops

Yes they are in, The light was so bad this morning. Hope they are clear. Dark ones in the kitchen, lighter ones in the master bath and kids bath. I think I got the wrong ones for the bath. I do not like them. I also thought I would have a longer counter top in the master bath. I guess it is an easy fix. I have to give it some thought. The good thing the tile I want to use matches the counter top.

Sod and trees and other stuff

Well the sod is down, the trees and plants are in, the light fixtures are in. The light is in the dining room, and the ceiling fan is in the living room. Also you see the shower door is in also.

Sod and plants

As You can see the garage door is up, and the ground is leveled out. I took these a few days ago, the sod was about to put down, and the plants were about to go in also. My mom says everything is in now. I will see tomorrow

What my bath will look like.......

These pictures are from servicemagic.com. In case anyone does not know you go there to find professionals for work on projects in your home. This was done by ABC Construction in a home in AK. I will have a mirror over my vanity also. The vanity is almost a match for mines. The mirror is a easy fix, Just buy some fancy crown molding stain to match the vainty, and BAM! Instant Mirror!
OK the tub, I am going to to tile my tub area myself, Just like you see in the picture. It is perfect The only difference with this pic and mines, I have a big window over my tub.
I LOVE this bath, I have one of the shower fitters now, I am going to get some use out of that before I tile it.

This is going in the kids bathroom, Walmart has the shower curtain with a whole bunch of matching stuff, I like all the colors, But I will not be a slave to total matching, So I will be buying stuff that go well with it. The Furniture piece goes over the toilet, and matches to vanity cabinets.
Since I have two sharing the bath, they will need the extra storage for personal stuff
Kids bath Done!

WE HAVE CARPET!

Went to the house carpet and vinyl are down. Now the baseboards look like CRAP, lots of touch up work will be needed. The shower door is in. The AC units are outside (But they have to be moved)

Today DH and I went to look at the Laminate floors we are going to put down in the kitchen, dining Rms. THANK GOD there was a guy in sam's club that convinced DH laminate was way better than tile in high traffic areas.
With the house close to be done Time to decorate! Here is what I got....
After some major soul searching I am putting white tile in the power room. I am going for a "Minimalist look" Black and white. I am going to find the "whitest paint" and put it on the walls. Black and white towels I do not have pictures, But I got it out of a book.

Thanks to walmart, I found what I am going to to with the kids bathroom, It will be in the next post.

These are some pictures my agent sent to me, Her camera is much better than mines. I also went to the house yesterday, they were about to put the floors down. I am pretty sure they will be down today, I will go and look and of course take pictures

Cabinets and house painted

Well DH went to the house today, It really looks great! There is a few things that need to touched up, but it still looks good. The city came out and put in the water meter, (I saw their flags) The baseboards are painted, I truly love the cabinets, nice and dark. DH measured the windows twice, So I can price the fau wood blinds. We also measured our room, Our bed fits perfectly! Well we will be moving soon!
