Sod and trees and other stuff

Well the sod is down, the trees and plants are in, the light fixtures are in. The light is in the dining room, and the ceiling fan is in the living room. Also you see the shower door is in also.
Almost there!

Sod and plants

As You can see the garage door is up, and the ground is leveled out. I took these a few days ago, the sod was about to put down, and the plants were about to go in also. My mom says everything is in now. I will see tomorrow

What my bath will look like.......

These pictures are from servicemagic.com. In case anyone does not know you go there to find professionals for work on projects in your home. This was done by ABC Construction in a home in AK. I will have a mirror over my vanity also. The vanity is almost a match for mines. The mirror is a easy fix, Just buy some fancy crown molding stain to match the vainty, and BAM! Instant Mirror!
OK the tub, I am going to to tile my tub area myself, Just like you see in the picture. It is perfect The only difference with this pic and mines, I have a big window over my tub.
I LOVE this bath, I have one of the shower fitters now, I am going to get some use out of that before I tile it.

This is going in the kids bathroom, Walmart has the shower curtain with a whole bunch of matching stuff, I like all the colors, But I will not be a slave to total matching, So I will be buying stuff that go well with it. The Furniture piece goes over the toilet, and matches to vanity cabinets.
Since I have two sharing the bath, they will need the extra storage for personal stuff

WE HAVE CARPET!

Went to the house carpet and vinyl are down. Now the baseboards look like CRAP, lots of touch up work will be needed. The shower door is in. The AC units are outside (But they have to be moved)

Today DH and I went to look at the Laminate floors we are going to put down in the kitchen, dining Rms. THANK GOD there was a guy in sam's club that convinced DH laminate was way better than tile in high traffic areas.
With the house close to be done Time to decorate! Here is what I got....
After some major soul searching I am putting white tile in the power room. I am going for a "Minimalist look" Black and white. I am going to find the "whitest paint" and put it on the walls. Black and white towels I do not have pictures, But I got it out of a book.

Thanks to walmart, I found what I am going to to with the kids bathroom, It will be in the next post.

These are some pictures my agent sent to me, Her camera is much better than mines. I also went to the house yesterday, they were about to put the floors down. I am pretty sure they will be down today, I will go and look and of course take pictures

Cabinets and house painted

Well DH went to the house today, It really looks great! There is a few things that need to touched up, but it still looks good. The city came out and put in the water meter, (I saw their flags) The baseboards are painted, I truly love the cabinets, nice and dark. DH measured the windows twice, So I can price the fau wood blinds. We also measured our room, Our bed fits perfectly! Well we will be moving soon!

Moving right along

Well I have not been to the house in a few days, DH went there, the cabinets are in, they have started painting, all the doors inside are in and painted, Baseboards in and primed and painted.
Here is the pic of all the siding done, My brother is moving in his house, so I take pics of all that done on the inside tomorrow.

Moving Along

So, I went to the house yesterday, The siding is pretty much done. Just the very top of the front is not. All the walls have primer on them. Thank goodness for k-mart, I am going to put towels on lay-a way (yes a ton) Go to target look for some stuff there.

I been thinking about paint, Well painting the powder room. It is small, (most of them are I know) Everyone does red, I do not want that. I was thinking navy blue w/ a chair rail. I read online to think of it like a jewelry box. I have a nice piece of art work, Might pull a color out of that.

Then I have the kitchen, Got a LOT of work to do there. Black Appliances, Dr cherry cabinets, Brushed nickle pulls/knobs. That is what i have to work from..... Anything I do has to flow in to the dining room and living room. I am clueless.

Siding went up today

Today they started the siding, I got to my brother's at 8am, these pic were taken at 9. When I left they were almost done, But I'll be back there to see it all finished. The picture on the left is the back of the house

Just heard from the lender

They changed our closing date. It cool, Give me some more time to do some things! Also today while waiting at my brothers house for a delivery I watched them pour our driveway and sidewalk! I have pictures taken I will post them when I get home.

I could not take a pic of the downstairs Power room, it was kinda dark, So I know I need to paint that room a bright color.

In other news my brother closed on his house yesterday. He will be living down the street from me. My mom (who will be staying with him) GAVE ME her front loader washer and dryer that is LESS THAN 1 YEAR old. It is red, (not my fav) but I will paint the Laundry room yellow to match.
Still on the fence about the fence, I do have some time to think about it.
