Well since it is summer, I have not done much to the house. As fall approaches, More work will be done.

Ideas for the yard

Well, I wanted to add a little something to this blog, I saw a very nice fire place, I will like to add to the yard. what do you think??

Outdoor furniture comes at the end of the summer after the prices go down.

Some thoughts

A few things I have learned about owning my home with my husband. We have been married a year. In the previous years I will just paint, or add a picture or change a room without asking him what he thought. Well I want to paint a few rooms; As of now he wants to keep the builder paint a while. The old me would just paint, But he did make a point that we have an inspection at our 1 year mark. The house is settling we have a few "settling cracks" If I paint, they will do a touch up over my new paint job, and I will have to re paint in December. So I am going to wait.


I am going to get a list of some stuff I would like to tackle in the house.

I want glass/mosaic back splash, But I will like to add something timeless. I might go with subway tiles.
Back yard furniture, DH is stalling on this, But I am going to wait till the end of the summer and buy some. It will be cheaper.

short term stuff,
I need something to go over this sofa ,it is 96 inch long.

I would add some more pics but there is nothing really to add, since I last added pic's. Now the back yard grass is coming in well. Nice and green.

Hi oh

It a long weekend of work.....

Well this weekend we are tackling the garage, Adding shelves, So far we have a 12 foot work bench and two 6 feet for storage. We plan to add two more 12 foot shelves for extra storage. We have the desktop already in on a desk, Two office chairs A tv 40 inch will come later.

After I get every thing off the floor, I plan to put a very large indoor/out door carpet in the center.


Our goal is to create extra living space, Since it is a one car, Extra living space just make more sense.

I have lost my thingy for my memory card, As soon as I fine it I will post the pics I have.

We decided to go with the red mulch in the front yard, We also put a border along the bed. The front yard is green now. The back is still brown but I see some green peaking in.

Sodis going in today

They guy is putting the sod in now as I type this. I am going to have a REAL back yard!!! with grass!!

100% moved in

So I moved everything out of the old place. Now I need to get some more unpacking done. I went to sams and filled up my freezer today. Tomorrow I am calling the sod guy to come out, so we can get some grass in the back yard. ( it is a mess)

My to do list

Sod
Rocks (well marble) for the beds in front of house.
Plant flowers (got some pretty ones)
Get 12x12's for back yard

It is spring time!!!

Well the freezer is in my garage!!!! Tomorrow I will go to the house, get all the trash out clean up and close up shop.
I thought I would take this post say a few thing I love about this house

1- If I wanted to, I could to 3 cartwheels across my room, with all the furniture in it. In other words, after years of walking sideways to get around in my other rooms, I can walk "across the room" with LOTS of room to spare.

2- I can take a bath and DH a shower at the same time.

3-We both can stand to the sink to get ready in the morning, Or I can stand to the sink, while he take a shower.

4- My walk in closet, is a REAL walk in closet.

5- My back yard is HUGE!

6- The kids room are big, and they have real walk in closets, (so big you can fit a twin size bed in it) Yes we tried!

7- I cannot wait to try my landscaping skills. I have seen LOTS of HGTV.

All moved in

So we are all moved in. Tomorrow getting the freezer. I turned the water off yesterday, and the lights will be off Monday. I will turn in my keys Tuesday.

I would take pictures of the house, But I got some stuff sitting around that needs to be unpacked. It is a mess here.

The next few weeks I will be working on my landscaping skills. Putting in some flowers beds, some rocks (removing the hay) and bed fencing. Next sod for the back yard and a new fence.

Got a bit done

Well I still did not get the food out from the old place But I plan on doing it tomorrow. Got sick this weekend. But I did clean out DD room, my room and DS room. I can hear an echo in the old place so I know I am moving along fine. I only have 2 more large things to move from the house, My deep freezer, and an amorie (sp?) Both will fit on the back of my truck. ( not at the same time).
This week I will get the kitchen cleared out.

Getting it all together

We are about 60% moved in. This week I am going to go to the house and get the rest of the food out of the other house. Need to also get some serious cleaning up over there. Today DH and I moved our dressers from the house ( gosh they were heavy) I got my son and brother to carry them up the stairs one we got to the house. I will also tackle DD's old room this week. She has a few things over there. He room and mines will get emptied out this week and if I am lucky the kitchen also.

My plan is not to have to pay rent for march.

Well are are a few pic's from the house, This has my washer and dryer, the new living room set, and the TV in my room, The other post has The living room TV, My bed in my bedroom. and my new sexy Fridge, Yes I know it is stainless steel, and the others are black, But when I saw it I could not pass up on it. We put the garage door opener in, installed a new alarm system. I am still looking for the right window dressing.

Moving in!

Well we closed almost a month ago. We have moved the beds in, dining room. The Living room stuff is in, So we are getting settled in. I will be adding pics this week. It is a work in progress

Been busy

Man we have been so busy, We put in our refrigerator, got a great deal at home depot. It had a few dings in it, so they took a few hundred bucks off. Washer and dryer also. Blinds are all up also. I cannot upload any pictures yet, my laptop is in the shop. But I will add them soon.
